IRL Bremen
The department of communications engineering at the University of Bremen is experienced in research of communications systems, algorithms and signal processing for years.
By participating in DFG and BMBF programs, EU projects and collaborations with industry, results from fundamental research find their direct application in the development and standardization of mobile communication systems (5G) and wireless sensor networks.
The department is a member of the alliance 5G-ACIA, the VDE/ITG-Fachgruppe 5 (committee of experts), the “Fachausschuss 5.1” (professional group), the EU platform Networld2020 and the ETSI.
The long-time experience with industry and the expertise from participating int the BMBF program “Zuverlässige drahtlose Kommunikation in der Industrie” (Reliable wireless communication for industry) are transferred to the IRL Bremen.
